1. The Qualifications of Applicants

(1) Basic Requirements:

(i) Applicants must be foreign citizens with no criminal records and in good health, 18 years old or above in principle;

(ii) Applicants must bear good conduct, obey Chinese laws and regulations, respect Chinese customs, and observe the rules and regulations of Nanjing Tech University;

(iii) Applicants must have excellent academic performance, and possess good listening, speaking, reading and writing abilities in Chinese or English;

(iv) Applicants must have corresponding academic-degree certificates.

(2) The Requirements on Academic Degree

(i) Applicants for Language Advanced Study Program or Undergraduate Program must have a high-school degree or above;

(ii) Applicants for Master Student Program must have a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent;

(iii) Applicants for Doctoral Student Program must have a master’s degree or its equivalent.

(3) The Requirements on Language (Applicants for Academic Degrees):

(i) Applicants who apply for courses taught in English must have proof of English proficiency: 80 scores or above in TOEFL (computer-based), or 550 scores or above in traditional tests, or 6.0 or above in IELTS (Academic);

(ii) Applicants who apply for courses taught in Chinese must have corresponding proof of Chinese proficiency: 200 scores or above in HSK Test Band 4.

2. Application & Registration Time

Application Time: From February 20, 2022 to May 31, 2022;

Registration Time: September 2022.

3. Application Procedures

All the applications must be made through Nanjing Tech University Online Application System for International Students:

Step 1: Registering an account and activating it;

Step 2: Filling in the Application Form and uploading the materials (Please ensure that the registration information is true and valid, and that the applicant’s telephone and email address are unblocked)

The uploaded materials include:

(1) The electronic version of the photo of passport

(2) The scanned copy of passport (all pages)

(3) The certificate and notarial certificate of the highest academic degree (in Chinese or English)

(4) The transcript and notarial certificate (in Chinese or English)

(5)-a The IELTS transcript or relevant certificates proving English proficiency (Applicants who apply for courses taught in English must provide)

(5)-b The transcript of HSK (Applicants who apply for courses taught in Chinese must provide)

(6) The proposal during the study in Nanjing Tech University (Applicants who apply for master and doctoral degrees must provide)

(7) The certificate of family property (at least USD5,000) and notarial certificate provided by the bank (in Chinese or English)

(8) The physical-examination certificate and notarial certificate (in Chinese or English)

(9) The certificate of no criminal records and notarial certificate (in Chinese or English)

(10) Two Letters of Recommendation from supervisors, including the applicant’s learning ability, performance, personality and other aspects (Applicants who apply for master and doctoral degrees must provide)

(11) The Guarantee of Guardian in China (Applicants who are under 18 years old must provide, in Chinese or English)

Step 3: Submitting the application and memorizing the Application Number

Step 4: Checking the application progress regularly

Step 5: Nanjing Tech University sending email notification after the approval of the application

Step 6: Applicants replying the emails within the specified time and paying the application fee and deposit (non- returnable) to confirm the admission

Step 7: Nanjing Tech University issuing “Letter of Admission”, “JW202 Form” and other admission materials after confirming the admission

Step 8: Admitted international students applying for visa to China (X1) and registering timely at Nanjing Tech University

(1) Applicants shall provide the Application Number when consulting relevant affairs;

(2) Personal CV on the Application Form must be completed in chronological order up to the time of application in the current year;

(3) Applicants must ensure that all application materials are true and valid.
